Why Sol asks for your email

Why Sol asks for your details - and what happens if you decline.

Written by David Henzell

After around six messages, Sol will pause and offer to save your conversation. He'll ask for your name and email. This isn't a marketing move. It's the moment your memory is created.

What Sol does with your name and email

Your name is used to greet you and personalise how Sol communicates with you. It doesn't have to be your real name.

Your email is used to identify your account. Neither is shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

What happens if you say no

The conversation continues. Sol won't make you feel bad about it. Without an account, Sol won't remember you when you return.
